[TUT]How to use /music
« on: August 15, 2014, 03:58:32 PM »
I see lots of players while playing that don't know how to use this command, so I decided to make this topic.
Just follow this easy tutorial, and you will master the /music command :)

Alright let's start, you can listen to two different audio files.

1. MP3 Files

MP3 Files (Music, songs, sounds, etc) can be listened in-game by going to a MP3 downloading site, my favorite is mp3skull.

A) Open the website by clicking on this link: mp3skull.com

B) Search for MP3 file you want

C) Find a good result of the search, then click with the right button of the mouse on the "Download" button that under the title, in the options menu click on "Copy link address".

D) Open the game and paste the link after typing /music . (CTRL + V)

2. Live Audio Streams

Live Audio Streams (For example Radio Station) can be listened by going to a website that gives a download of them, I use shoutcast website.
Tamer is using this website too for the command /radio, but the one big con is that it's limited for only a couple of radio stations, follow those steps and you'll be able to listen to any radio station you want! Even radio stations that is in your mother language!

A) Open the website by clicking on this link: shoutcast.com

B) Search for the radio station you want.

You'll repeat the same process you did in MP3 Files steps from this on.

C) Find the radio station in the results, then click with the right mouse button on the download symbol that is on the left side of the title, in the options menu click "Copy link address".

D) Open the game and paste the link after typing /music . (CTRL + V)

That's it, enjoy listening!

Not working? Then please read these notes:

1) A full GTA SA version is required for this feature, you can't use /music or /radio if you have rip version.

2) It might take a few seconds of the command to start working, It's depending on the server and your internet connection, so be patient. (Long and high quality links might take a little time)

3) Some MP3 Files and Live Audio Files links can be buggy, so if a different link works, it's the other one problem.

You may ask if you have questions or request a help in this topic (Make sure to read Notes first though)

I'm highly recommending the number 1 UK station, it's called Capital London and it's has the top 40 popular songs!

Try musicradio.com, also a good website to search stations!

You can bind it using AHK, That's what i do. I press a key like Alt+ O then after the time i set before (like 3 minutes) it will do the command again and play another song which i set before.

Well, if you mean one single MP3 link that contains your playlist than you'll need to search for that, if it's random songs then you'll need to create a mp3 file and upload it.

Or as Ghost said, create keybinds that each bind leads to another song and activate the next bind after each time a song ends.

This function allows you to hear music only while driving, the /music allows you to hear it at every second.

As old as this topic might be, it contains wrong information:

"1) A full GTA SA version is required for this feature, you can't use /music or /radio if you have rip version."

I don't want to promote illegal stuff, but this is simply not true.
